Email photo(s) of your pet to email@example.com Good quality photos are important – better resolution and larger size will improve the amount of information I have to paint from – I can give you tips on creating a good quality digital photo of your pet. See: How to Photograph Your Pet. It is best to have several photos -- a few minutes in the sunshine with your pet - take a lot of photos (30 or so) and narrow it down to 4 or 5 best ones to send.
Composition – I will return (by email) a cropped, composed photo to client for approval to move forward.
Sketch of animal is begun and rough charcoal sketch will be sent via email for approval. Finish will be discussed as well (varnish and edge finish) Once agreement on composition, painting will begin, and estimate for finish date. Drying time and varnishing will take about a week from finish date.
Framing and wiring can be done so your painting is ready to hang when it arrives.
Shipping is done (or pickup arranged) when remainder of cost is received. Shipping costs will vary depending on size (example 5x7 to 11 x14 sent via USPS flat rate box)
