A Game of Tennis
by Elizabeth Jennings
This is like love, the reciprocity
And distances and then the sudden lust,
Love is like this but in equality
And sudden turning-back. We make a net
In which we hide behind, and which we trust.
There is no farther that our flesh can get.
We draw, none wins, and this like love too.
Each challenges through though none can wine the game.
There is no score, only a coming true.
We are two people with a single name.
