Make a Wish

I love the dandelions that are scattered in my lawn. When they first emerge in the spring we harvest the unbloomed buds and leaves for salad.  As they bloom into yellow heads, my son called them, “stars in the grass” when he was little.  Then they turn from yellow to white puffy seedheads, where we can hold them up to our mouths, and blow the puffs into the air, and make a wish.
