Maryanne Buschini is a painter working in the Philadelphia area, concerned with presenting ideas about relationships, memory and perception.
She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kansas State University, and Masters of Arts of Teaching Visual Arts from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, as well as Pennsylvania State Art Teaching Certification. She has continued art exploration in studio courses and workshops at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, The Barnes Foundation, as well as other art programs and workshops.
Maryanne Buschini's paintings have been exhibited and awarded in juried shows. The imagery and narrative she is concerned with focus on subjects that are not apparent at first view, exploring relationships, stories, memories and possibilities, families, immigration and working people, community histories, and the natural world. Her artwork is based on direct observation from the natural world, memory and influence of photography, considering how we as humans view ourselves and others.
Maryanne Buschini maintains a studio in the Philadelphia area, lives with her husband, has 2 adult sons, and a four legged studio companion, Sophie the beagle.
